Most facial piercings are going to have length on the jewelry to allow for swelling, especially: lip, monroe, filtrum and tongues. These piercings will need to be downsized after the initial swelling has gone down. Other piercings including nostril, septum, eyebrow and bridge may be downsized at a later point if swelling decreases substantially.
